This project began prior to the Covid quarantine. The prompt was to create a side chair and a pair to go along with it. I knew I wanted to make a rocking chair to challenge myself. I finished this project using a home woodshop. I was inspired by the mission style furniture that was in my parents house.
During quarantine the prompt for the project changed to creating two identical chairs with items available around the house. After struggling to use recycling materials to hold me up, I used my trestle prototypes and some rope I found as to create a woven chair that holds the weight of a body.
