Designed for simplicity, modularity, as well as stability. Inspired by many minimal designs in home decor.
Using the domino tool, I created strong joinery to ensure that the trestles could hold the weight of a table top. Doing this I had to make sure my joints were very clean cut as the design was so simple, otherwise they would be very noticeable. I chose the 3 specific dimensions of 13'' x 18'' x 27'' to allow for versatility in the height of the table top. This gives the ability to switch between an average dining table, a middle bench height, and a coffee table height.
I chose to keep the wood of the trestles unfinished to go with the simplistic feel of the design.
